Gas Leak Quickly Contained

Shortly before 5 PM, Sunday afternoon, Monticello Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to the old Sonic located, on Highway 425 South.
The drive-in is currently closed, as equipment is being moved to their new location on 425 N.
During the moving process, a gas leak develop as lines were being unhooked. MPD and MFD quickly arrived, and remained on the scene as a safety precaution, until Centerpoint Entergy disconnected the meter.
