“From the Jury Box”
July 11th, 2013 by Joe BurgessFollowing Wednesday’s 20 year sentence from a jury of 6 men and 6 woman to Victoria Pedraza for Permitting Abuse of a Minor for the death of her infant daughter, MLive spoke to an anonymous juror about what topics the jury felt were the most influential, during their deliberations.
We were told that the phrase “wreckless endangerment of a minor”seemed to sum the situation up very well.
Although the jurors felt empathy for Victoria; as Aubriana’s mother, she failed to protect the child on several occasions, one of which led to the child’s death.
The jury’s deliberations took around an hour, included much discussion, and only a couple of votes to reach a unanimous verdict.

She knew what was going on, she had been through the same but yet she did nothing to protect her daughter. She is just as guilty or more so than the father, she allowed it to continue.
Lord my heart ached and tears flowed from my eyes reading everything in this case. I have been a “victim” of domestic violence. I was scared and intimidated but I knew after the first time, I had to do everything in my power to protect my children. It meant losing everything and starting over but, Thanks be to God we made it. Maybe now that sweet angel can rest in peace.
