According to North Little Rock Police, officers responded to a reported shooting, Sunday,just after 1 a.m. on Vestal Street.

Upon arrival , they found 33-year-old Paul Samaniego, formerly of Monticello, with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but died from his injuries.

Marcus Foster, age 32, Samaniego’s roommate and also reportedly a former Monticello resident, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
