Forgery Case Leads to 2 Arrests by DCSO
August 9th, 2013 by Joe BurgessACCORDING TO SHERIFF MARK GOBER, ON JUNE 10, THE DREW COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED A REPORT OF CHECKS BEING FORGED AGAINST A LOCAL RESIDENT’S CHECKING ACCOUNT.
DURING AN INVESTIGATION BY THE DREW COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WITH ASSISTANCE OF THE DERMOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT TWO SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED.
WILLIE BRANCH OF DERMOTT, AR (38) WAS ARRESTED ON AUGUST 1, BY DERMOTT POLICE ON A WARRANT FOR TWO COUNTS OF 2nd DEGREE FORGERY (A CLASS “C” FELONY.)
BRANCH WAS TAKEN BEFORE JUDGE KENNY JOHNSON WHERE HIS BOND WAS SET AT $1,500.00.
ANGELA CESSOR OF WARREN, (34) WAS ALSO ARRESTED IN CONNECTION OF THE FORGED CHECKS AFTER A WARRANT WAS ISSUED FOR HER ARREST. CESSOR WAS ARRESTED BY A DREW COUNTY DEPUTY ON AUGUST 3. CESSOR HAS A PENDING CASE OUT OF CHICOT COUNTY FOR FORGERY AS WELL AT THIS TIME. SHE WAS TAKEN BEFORE JUDGE BYNUM GIBSON ON AUGUST 5 AND HER BOND WAS SET AT $2,500.00, AND REMAINS IN JAIL WITH ALSO A PAROLE WARRANT AGAINST HER.
