The forensic pathologist took the witness stand, next,
She performed Flowers’ autopsy on August 15, finding that Flowers died from traumatic brain injuries that he received approximately: weeks before his death.
She also indicated numerous “blunt force injuries,” in her report and testimony. The prosecution asked if these were similar to “repeated kicks to the body and head.” She responded, “Yes.”
She then told the jury that Flowers’ death was caused by damage caused by his brain “being slammed into the sides of his head, and bleeding caused by bruising and torn blood vessels,” from these injuries.
