Fire Claims Life of County Resident, as She Re-Enters Home with Hose
October 29th, 2018 by iPhoneAt 5:51, the female resident of this Wilmar home contacted the local fire department to report her home was on fire. The firefighter who answered the call described her voice, as clear, without any distress, such as coughing or gasping for breath.
It is believed that she then re-entered the home, with a water hose, where she perished, due to smoke inhalation. She has been identified as Judy Namenek.
Wilmar fire department and Monticello fire department responded, as multiple Sheriff’s Deputies and OEM.
