Fire Dept. Responds to Apt. Fire, Receive Appreciation
September 2nd, 2014 by iPhoneA grease fire, inside an apartment complex, was the scene of a Monticello Fire Department response, Thursday night around 9:30.
The only damage was done to the kitchen area of the one involved apartment, in the complex located near Oakland and Main Streets.
Building owner Benny Roark wants to publicly express his appreciation for the quick response of the fire department, as they extinguished the fire, before it affected any other apartments or families.
