Final Tribute to a Fallen Firefighter

Steve Brantley, a former fireman for the Monticello Fire Dept. for 18 years, passed away earlier this week.
As a tribute of his service to the community, multiple firetrucks, including the two shown here, were a part of his funeral procession.
The 1946 model retired fire truck (from Palestine, AR), driven by it’s retired fireman owner served as Brantley’s hearse.
Matthew Brantley, Steve’s son, is carrying on his father’s tradition, by serving as a fireman at the Collins-Cominto Fire Department, represented by the other truck, shown above.
