FBC Monticello Cancels In-Person Services
March 14th, 2020 by Joe BurgessFirst Baptist Church of Monticello has made the decision to cancel in-person services for Sunday, March 15 due to local developments regarding to COVID-19, also known as coronavirus.
Below is a statement from Pastor Will McKay:
Dear church,
We have been paying close attention, as many of you have, to recent developments related to coronavirus. After consulting with health officials and other community leaders, we have decided to cancel our services and events at First Baptist Church on Sunday, March 15.
This was not an easy decision, as we were looking forward to worshipping together tomorrow. However, when we consider the health of many of our members, it became obvious that this was the best course of action.
We will still live-stream the worship service at 8:30 AMon our First Baptist Church Monticello Facebook page, and post to our website, www.fbcmonticello.com on Monday.
Be looking for more information via email and our Facebook account in the coming days.
We love you and are praying for you. Should you need assistance in the days ahead, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 870367.3449,
