Deceased Identified in Fatality Wreck on Bowser Road
August 14th, 2017 by iPhoneA young Monticello man lost his life in a single vehicle car wreck, on Bowser Road, early Saturday morning.
Around 12:30 AM, the driver of a Pontiac G6 lost control of his vehicle, as he was traveling westbound. The car entered the north ditch, before colliding with a concrete driveway. The vehicle began flipping and ejected the driver, who was killed on impact. After striking a tree, the Pontiac came to rest in another nearby yard.
A family in the neighborhood heard the crash, and briefly looked for what may have caused the noise, but did not find anything. This was caused by the car being hid behind a row of bushes, across the street from them.
A passing driver noticed the wrecked vehicle around 7 AM, Saturday morning, and notified law-enforcement.
Drew County Sheriff’s deputies maintained the scene, until an Arkansas State Trooper arrived to complete the fatality report.
The deceased has been identified as Jay McGee, , age 20 of Monticello, who was pronounced at the scene.
