Fatal Stabbing on North Hyatt, Saturday Morning

On March 5th, 2016 at approx. 7:15 am, the Monticello Police Department received a call of a stabbing on the 1300 block of North Hyatt.
When officers arrived they found Michael Green, 28, of Monticello unresponsive with a wound to his neck. Green was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Drew County Coroner’s Office.
The Monticello Police Department and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the incident.
An arrest was made on scene when officers arrived and no other details are being released at this time.

Our small town needs to come together as a whole and try to solve problems within our community with the younger generation and their problems we are by passing pine bluff with crime maybe a special forces unit could help the community town hall meeting something needs to happen
