  1. Mom says:

    I vote no!!!!

  2. voting citizen says:

Can’t wait to read the whole story to see what councilman/woman wanted to take my right to vote away from me!

  3. Greg Sanson says:

well it should be clear now that the building will be for the College, there going to staff it. and it should be clear that the Mayor is for the College and not the people. no one has shown that this building will do any thing for the people accept have them pay for it. how many streets and sewers could be repaired around the city with all that money being thrown to the college? well i hope the people of Monticello come out to vote and send the Mayor a clear message that they the citizens of Monticello needs come before the needs and wants of the College and the Mayor.

  4. Mary Ann says:

While I do not live in Monticello any longer and this does not effect me, you caved. You were standing strong for the people and you changed and caved to the special interest. You let the Mayor, who really wants this make the decision. Now there is going to be a special election which is the worst because usually special elections are for the people who want something. I had held out hope that you would consider the people first and the high taxes that they already pay, but you caved in to the special interest. Shame on you. Oh by the way, where I live now the sales tax is 6%, not 10%.
