Ellis to be Honored with Distinguished Achievement Award
June 27th, 2014 by iPhoneAmerican Medical Technologists (AMT) will award Tonda L. Ellis, CMLA, RPT, of Monticello, The AMT Distinguished Achievement Award at their Annual Meeting in Chicago on July 9, 2014.
The Distinguished Achievement Award is in recognition of outstanding activity and service to AMT and its members at the state level.
Tonda L. Ellis was certified by AMT as an RPT on 2006 and CMLA in 2009. Tonda has served as the president and editor of the Arkansas State Society since 2010. Her state society earned honor roll for 2011, 2012 and 2013. Tonda was awarded the Leona Lyons Carter Award in 2011 and Continuing Education Certificate of Excellence in 2010. She also initiated the Edward Z. Young, MT, Memorial Scholarship for the ARSSAMT. She is also a sponsor for several American Cancer Society initiatives for a cure. Tonda studied under Dr. Carolyn Vogler and Tommy Young, MT, at Chicot Memorial Hospital and Dermott Family Practice. She is currently a caretaker for her children and family.
American Medical Technologists is a nationally and internationally recognized certification agency for allied health professionals. In existence since 1939, AMT is also a membership association, providing continuing education and other services to over 50,000 members.
