I would like to know why the only way anyone could vote for the people running for the city council/alderman had to vote on the democratic ticket?? I voted on the republican ticket and thought that I would be able to also vote for the people/person running in my ward for city council, once I started, none of the names were on the ballot that were running in my ward. I also noticed that the majority of the people in the log book were listed as republican so that means that they also did not vote for the people in our ward. Obviously no one was given any indication that you had to vote a certain way to vote for the city council/alderman.
After talking to a few people that also voted on the republican ticket noticed that they did not get to vote for the people in their ward. The county district judge was on all the ballots why couldn’t the city council/alderman be on the ballots also? I believe that if it would have been an option on any of the ballots some of the people that were running would have had a better opportunity from the voters in their ward.
