Election Lawsuit Underway – Gibson Dismissed

The Drew County Circuit Court case began with attorneys Cliff Gibson and Witt Barton addressing the petitions for their recusal from this case, based on potential conflicts of interest. Both lawyers had their clients state that they want Gibson and Barton to represent them.
The court took a brief recess at 9:55.
As court was being called to order, Attorney Cliff Gibson asked to be excused for the hearing, since the county clerk and election board agreed to abide by the courts ruling, and not present a case.
