Election Filing Period Closes at Noon, Today

City, county, and local offices filing periods and Monday, at noon.
Democratic and Republican primary election candidates, and Independent candidates (if they are filing on a county or township level) are included.
Independent city candidates, if they have an ordinance (which Monticello does) must file between April 30 and May 19 at noon.
The primary elections will be held on Tuesday, May 20.
Early voting will be held 2 weeks prior to Election Day; from May 5 through the 19th.
Early voting hours are…
8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday,
10 am to 4 pm, on those 2 Saturdays, and
May 19, from 8 to 5.
