488 Early Votes Cast, Mayor’s Run-Off Election is TODAY

Election run-off day is Today, May 30, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
113 early votes were cast on Tuesday, 111 more were cast on Wednesday, with 104 Year more added on Thursday. Early voting ended Friday with 160 votes cast
Here are the early votes, broken down by awards.
Ward 1—24-21-23-30
Ward 2—49-39-37-50
Ward 3—14-18-18-30
Ward 4—26-33-26-50
The special election will choose the next mayor of Monticello, that will fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of former mayor Zack Tucker, and serve until December 2018.
2 former mayors are seeking the office, Democrat David Anderson and independent Joe Rogers.
Anderson won the May 9 election, which also included independent candidate Ronny Carr.
