ELECTION DAY – 596 Early / Absent Votes in Mayor Runoff Election

456 early votes were cast, and 26 absentee votes have been signed out, as this morning opens the FINAL DAY of early voting, in the special mayoral runoff between Zack Tucker and Joe Rogers.
150 votes were cast on Tuesday. 91 on Wednesday, 110 on Thursday, and 106 on Friday .
Early voting is taking place in the runoff election between Joe Rogers and Zack Tucker in the county courthouse clubroom to fill the remaining vacant portion of deceased mayor Allen Maxwell’s term.
Three weeks ago, the field of five candidates was narrowed down to Tucker and Rogers, in this weeks runoff election.
Tucker is a current city employee, serving as assistant to the mayor. Rogers is a business owner and former elected mayor.
Election Day is today, with all 4 city voting sites open.
