Why would they wait til DWI 4 or 5??? I think something should be enforced by the 2nd!
I AGREE
It’s about time!!!!!
He needs help, some slide threw the cracks.I bet he doesn’t want his life like this.He may of been begging for help and no one saw it.25 is to young to give up on.Thank GOD he didn’t crash and kill someone or himself.I feel there’s more to this other than a young man getting drunk.I hope someone will help him.
I agree with you just wondering. He truly needed a intervention. He is a strong person and he will make it threw this. We are behind him 100 percent. He needs our prayers! I know people will want to judge him but thats not our job. He has alot of time now to think about what he did. And now he has to suffer the consequences. All of us have our downfalls we are just thankful he didnt hurt someone or himself.
i agree he needs help. he obviously has an alcohol addiction that he cannot overcome on his own. there are, however, plenty of alcoholics that, even though they haven’t yet overcome their addiction, at least know enough not to get behind the wheel. you can pretty safely assume that if he’s been caught 5 times, he’s probably driven while intoxicated a lot more than that. if he doesn’t have the good judgment to stay off the road while he’s intoxicated, being removed from society – whether it be jail or rehab – is in everyone’s best interest. i do find it a bit hard to believe that anyone who’s been before a judge 5 times (with 3 convictions) has “slid through the cracks” though.
mr. forrest will be in my prayers.
Because DWI 1,2 and 3 are misdomeanors. Although the fines are higher, its the same as getting 2 or 3 speeding tickets.
I didn’t mean to sound as if I were judging him…..not him as a person anyway but maybe our judicial system. Why would it take 4 or 5 times for someone to get more than a slap on the wrist? I feel the same as Dean…..if he’s been caught 5 times, he’s probably driven drunk a lot more. Also, I am wondering how he affords insurance with that many DWIs on his record. I just couldn’t imagine!! I am thankful that he, as well as innocent drivers, haven’t been killed.
His luck ran out!!!!!
Yeah, I hope they give him 10 years. That will be that much longer he isn’t on the road endangering my family. After that long in jail, he’ll have plenty of time to think about what he needs to do to get help.
However, we all know he won’t get over a year. If that.
I know and love this young man and he does need an intervention. Since The Lord is with him, he will make it through this. This Forrest Family will keep you in our prayers and will be here when you make it through the dark cloud you are under now. After all we are not the one that will judge you when all is said and done. Stay strong Bubba we love you
There is a lot of family and friends writing in. Were where you all when he got his 1st or 2nd DWI. It is sad it has to come down to the 4th DWI. For family and friends wont to help and pray for him. I’M not judging anyone I’m just saying you all knew about this man problems. He needed help then and he needs help now. I guest some people say better late then never.
This man was tried and ACQUITTED for his 4th DWI last spring. It is my understanding from those involved that several of the juror’s stayed after and prayed for him, invited him to church, etc. I can only assume that he declined their offerings. He has had his chances now it’s time for him to accept responsibility and the reality of going prison.
I will be praying for him.
I agree John W. There is only so much praying and intervention you can do for a person and then the responsibility lies with them. Atleast we know that he will not be drinking in jail and will have no chance to endanger anyone on the roads.
Good… he’ll get help…I hope he gets well.Prison would not help him. He’s to young to give up on him.
We were all here when he had dwi 2 and 3. What do u think we are suppose to do? Sit and hold his hand. No, you have to let him know tiat you are there for him and give him his space. He is not a child. We couldnt set over him 24/7. And he didnt deserve ten yrs. I bet if it was ur family member that had a alcohol problem you wouldnt think that way. Also yes they did pray 4 him. Whats wrong with that. Nothing! He needed it. Alsn he already attends a church thats why he didnt go with them when invited.
He was found not guilty by the jury. My family was with him that night. We had ate supper at Laterraza. He was not drunk. He blew under legal limit on the BAC. Not 5 mins after we left they had him stopped. They released him. I pick him up. He did Not deserve that one. I know i was there.
Bubba is a good person and he does need intervention. It is hard to intervene on a child much much harder for someone over the age of 18. If you do get a Doctor to place them somewhere it has to be because they are a danger to themselves and others, but they can only hold them for so long. That person can usually check themselves out within a few days. He would have to see his drinking as a problem to overcome. Even now that he is in RPF he will go through programs, but what is the success rate for after release of staying clean. I am not sure but, I do know plenty of people who are out doing the same things they did before they went in. Bubba has more than just an alcohol problem and the help he needs he will not receive being locked up. And for the person who said that there is only so much praying you can do for someone is wrong. Please keep praying. He and his family needs it.
Just a little FYI. There is no such thing as a legal BAC limit to drive. The .08 is a presumptive limit set by the state of Arkansas that says you are automaticly considered intoxicated at .08 or above. You do not have to be at .08 or above to get a D.W.I. It is illegal to drink and drive, period.
You are right CMH. Please keep prying!! I know it is illegal to drink and drive. Nobody said it wasnt. No one should do it, but many do.
i do not know this young man but i feel he has deeper issues. i hope he gets help and i hope prison doesn’t make things worse. i am just saying that maybe he could have been ordered 2 a residential treatment program for a year
