I will definitely be praying for the people of Dumas.
My brother is a volunteer fire fighter in Lake Village. They have been called to work. Please pray for all. He said it is unbelievable the disaster that has happened.
My husband and I were in Dumas just after it hit and the devastation is incredible. Many businesses, factories, and homes are gone. What we knew as Dumas on Hwy 65 is gone. It is a blessing no one has been reported killed. The Entergy substation is gone as well as William’s Florist. The second tornado damaged by sister’s property at Backgate. She was home with her granddaughter when it hit. The American Red Cross station is setup at the First Baptist Church in downtown Dumas. People wanting to help should call Red Cross first. Most landline phones are down and many cell phones take tries before they work.
