Dumas Capital Murder Suspect, Facing Possible Death Penalty, Appears in Drew County Court

A 26 year old Dumas man, likely to be charged with Capital Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm, appeared before Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson for a First Appearance Hearing, Monday afternoon, at the Drew County Courthouse.
Marquis Poole, of the Mitchellville community, allegedly shot his 25 year old girlfriend 3 times, early Friday morning, in front of the victim’s mother and 5 year old child, in their Palmetto Street apartment..
Poole was arrested Sunday, and according to Prosecuting Attorney Thomas Deen, may face the Death Penalty, based on aggravating circumstances in the murder.
Judge Gibson approved Deen’s recomdation to hold Poole without bond, in the Dumas City Jail.

It’s sad, when you know the victim as well as the killer. My heart was just aching when I heard the news…i couldn’t stop crying! I been knowing her since she was little. A person who can take another person life, the mother of your children, and in front of her oldest child. He deserve to die…i have no love for a creature like him!!!

Yes it was sad to what happen 2 the young lady but 2 those of u who r judging and not really thinkin about what u r saying acting out of your emotion, i give this advise to you—–will you have this same mind set or same mentially if your child did the killing to someone
Judge not or you will be judge with the same judgement God is the only judge. If you don’t know the whole the story then you really don’t know what your talking about. I knew the female and the male and I love and loved them both. If your heart is that evil maybe you need to be fried with him. Whatever you think of him this what you think of yourself. Just because one dies why would you want the other to die. Holding the kids from their dad would be just as wrong as killing the mom. If the family is holding them from him when they get older how you know they want hate them they way they are hating the dad. Killing females don’t make people a coward. How can pray for the kids and then say I hate your dad and you don’t need him in your life.. If you don’t what prayer is don’t say you are praying for the family and if your heart isn’t right your prayer don’t mean anything. Get it right with God. The same God that made you made him and if you didn’t love before he killed her you didn’t love him anyway matter fact you don’t know true love.
