Drugs & Guns Lead to $50,000 Bond
September 7th, 2022 by Joe Burgesson August 10, members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. and an agent with the Arkansas Parole and Probation conducted a welfare check of a residence on Brixie Road.
Joseph Donaldson, a resident of the home, is a convicted felon with a search waiver on file. During a
search of the residence Deputies sized a .22 caliber rifle, a .380 caliber handgun, a set of digital scales, a glass pipe commonly used for smoking meth and a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamines.
On Friday, the Sheriffs Office received information of more firearms and drugs located in Donaldson’s home.
Investigators returned to the residence and conducted a second search and found two (2) firearms and a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamines. Donaldson, age 38 of Drew County, was arrested during the first search of the residence and charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of firearms by certain persons and Simultancous possession of drugs and firearms.
Donaldson appeared before Judge Robert Gibson for a first appearance and his bond was set at $50,000.
