Drugs & Guns Draw $100,000 Bond
September 26th, 2018 by iPhoneAccording to Commander Jason Akers of the 10th Drug Task Force, a multi-agency and multi-county investigation resulted in several arrests for offenses ranging from felony drug possession, theft, burglary and firearm violations.
Task Force Agents received information concerning a rash of burglaries in Bradley County. Working with Bradley, Ashley and Drew County law enforcement as well as Monticello and McGehee Police, Agents searched two locations in Drew County and located numerous stolen firearms, tools, electronics and methamphetamine.
Agents and Bradley County Deputies arrested Nicholas Smith, age 23 and Stephanie Tucker, age 29 of Drew County. They were charged with (6) counts of burglary, possession of firearms by certain persons and theft of property. They both received a $10,000 bond.
A search of a rural Drew County residence resulted in tools, ammunition and a firearm stolen in the burglaries being located.
A search warrant was executed at the residence of Sam Kinney III, age 37, in Winchester and pursuant to that search warrant, a substantial quantity of methamphetamine was located as was related drug paraphernalia.
Kinney was also found to be in possession of numerous firearms and electronics, some of which were stolen from the Bradley County burglaries. At the time of his arrest, Kinney was wanted by Parole officers for Absconding. He was charged with Possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms by certain persons, maintaining a drug premises and theft by receiving. Kinney received a $100,000 bond.
