Drug Sweep Arrests 13 for Drugs & Illegal Gun Possession
August 21st, 2020 by Joe BurgessA joint investigation between the 10th Drug Task Force and the Monticello Police Department resulted in numerous drug and firearms related arrests on Thursday, with more arrests to follow throughout the State.
The operation, which netted 13 arrests Thursday, has not concluded yet as another 10-12 suspects are still being sought.
Arrested as part of the first phase were the following:
Linda Peacock age 63, Delivery of methamphetamine
Misty Johnson age 48, Possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana
Rodney Daniels age 42, Possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia
Rachel Smith 32, Possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana
Skylar Milholland age 22, 2 counts simultaneously possession of drugs and firearms; (3) counts of possession of methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia
Joe Ratliff JR age 26, Felon in Possession of a firearm; drug paraphernalia
Donnell Butler age 41, delivery of methamphetamine; possession of marijuana
Steven Slaughter age 41, possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia
Larry Peifer age 50, Possession of methamphetamine
William Schwartz age 34, possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm
John Zachary Alberius age 28, possession of methamphetamine
Joseph Engelkes age 32, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm and possession of methamphetamine
Rebecca Hammil age 28, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm and possession of methamphetamine
MPD Chief Jason Akers wanted to let the public know, “MPD is not anti-gun because we seized these weapons. We took them to keep them out of the hands of people committing crimes. 99.9% of gun owners are the true model citizens.“
