Drive Safely – Recent Wrecks

At 1:55, Sunday afternoon, the driver of this Chevy Impala lost control of his vehicle near Cherry Street, on Highway 278 E.
The vehicle traveled through the ditch into a deep ravine, colliding head-on with a concrete bridge embankment . The driver was transported to DMH by SEEMS.
MPF, Monticello Fire and Rescue, and Drew County OEM responded.
Reggie’s Wrecker removed the Chevy from the ravine.

At 12:15, Thursday, the driver of this loaded lumber 18 wheeler missed the curve at Sherrie and Jack’s in the streets. Big Wrecker was dispatched to get him, “on the road again”
