Drew Memorial Health System Hires Dr. Samuel H. Arnold, D.O., as a General Surgeon

Dr. Arnold joining our community will enable families to continue to have their surgical care close to home.”
Dr. Arnold is certified by the American Board of Surgery and comes to us from Ouachita County Medical Center where he has provided general surgical services for the last 16 years.
Arnold is an Oklahoma native who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 1980. Dr. Arnold is a Diplomat of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
As a General Surgeon, Dr. Arnold offers a wide variety of surgical services including lap and open cholecystectomies (gallbladder), lap and open appendectomies, open and hand-assisted laparoscopic colon surgeries, placement of central lines, breast surgery- both benign and malignant, lower extremity amputations up to above the knee, amputation as needed for nonhealing wounds or infections from vascular disease or diabetes, repair of hernias, port placements, endoscopies, removal of skin lesions and cancers, drainage of abscesses, and more. He specializes in general surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
