Drew County Man Killed in Car-Pedestrian Accident
October 24th, 2011 by Joe BurgessColumbus Jackson, age 36, of Skipper Bridge Road, near Dermott, died October 15, following a car – pedestrian accident on HWY 35, near Dermott, which occurred around 10:31 pm.
According to reports, Jackson was walking in the eastbound lane, when a westbound Chevy Trailblazer, driven by an Arlington, TX man pulled into the eastbound lane to pass another vehicle, striking Jackson.
Jackson was pronounced dead a short time later at the McGehee hospital.
Arkansas State Police investigated the accident.
