Congratulations to the two families! but this article contradicts a previous story, doesnt it?
NOTE: The earlier article said that the “Drew County Farm Family of the Year Selection Committee” didn’t select a family for that yearly honor.
The fair board is not affiliated with that group, or their supporting agencies.
The fair board picked these two families, to honor and serve as parade marshalls, since there was no farm family selected by the other organization.
They are the “Drew County Fair” Farm Family of the year. The Drew County Fair Board voted to choose a farm family for our parade marshalls. There were many suggestions and we voted to pick our own farm family. This will allow even the smallest of farms to have a chance at being our “Drew County Fair” farm family of the year. This will now be an annual honor.
Well thats awesome!
