Drew Central’s Fawcett Leaving for Superintendent Post in Paris
March 20th, 2012 by Joe BurgessWayne Fawcett, Drew Central School’superintendent for the past 4 years, will be leaving the district, in order to accept the superintendant’s position in Paris, AR.
“In an interview with MLive, this morning, Fawcett told us that Paris is closer to family members, and that the school district of around 1,200 students (slightly larger then Drew Central), is also a career move.
“We love Monticello, and we love Drew Central. DC has great students, a great staff, and a great school board.” Fawcett of MLive, adding, “We’l be leaving life-long friends that we’ve made here.
Laura, his wife, who is DC’s school health co-ordinator, will leave a vacancy in that position, as well.
