Update – Double Shooting in Monticello, Tuesday Night.

According to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, The Monticello Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a residence on Willis Street last night where two people were injured due to the gunfire. Both of the injured persons were sent to Drew Memorial and transferred to other facilities and at last report were in stable condition.
MPD officers, Detectives, 10th DTF Agents and Drew County Sheriff’s deputies interviewed witnesses, processed the crime scene and located
Ecstasy, Marijuana, digital scales and a defaced firearm inside the residence while searching for evidence connected to the shooting.
