Dermott Children Die after Being Run Over by their Father, Dad Arrested

According to Bill Sadler, public information officer for the Arkansas State Police, Chicot County Sheriffs Deputies, Dermott Police and Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an incident reported yesterday (Sunday, April 17th 2011) that resulted in the death of two children and the injury of their mother.
Robert Carter, Jr., 23, of Lake Village, has been taken into custody pending the filing of formal charges.
Carter is accused of driving a vehicle into the yard of a Dermott residence located at 321 West Iowa Street where Latasha Figures, 24, Carter’s former girlfriend and the couple’s two children resided.
As Carter drove into the yard he struck and killed Amoni Elasia Carter, 18 months old and critically injured Nekole Carter, age 4, who later died at a Little Rock hospital. Figures was also injured and remains hospitalized.
As Carter exited the vehicle a Figures family member shot Carter in the knee. Carter was taken into custody a short time later and remains under guard at a Little Rock hospital.

This man needs to be ran over both knee caps busted out and I think he needs to suffer like the mother and family are having to do. I am deeply sorry for this tragedy and my prayers go out to all of you except the person that put this family in this situation.
im sorry for the family loss but this is the time where we gotta stay on our knees god dont put nuthin on us we cant bare these children are at peace they are angels they dont have to worry about weight of this cruel world

wat i think that needs to happen to him is that he needs to be put in a room with that whole family and lock the doors. however my prayers go out to the family.
I cannot imagine what was going through his mind as he was MURDERING HIS OWN CHILDREN!!!! This is sickening to read, but thankfully those babies are with God now. My heart breaks for the family left to grieve for the loss of those precious babies. There is not one this world that made those babies or their momma deserve this unthinkable act. I think we should skip the trail and all the appeals. He was SEEN doing it, admitted it to police, and admitted he MEANT to kill them. Hang him on the town square. Make him an example to all those who abuse children, or anyone for that matter. An eye for an eye…Im with you Dragon Heart! May God be with that family during this trying time and may the family rely on God for strength, understanding, and peace.
