Defendant Testifies about Accident
August 10th, 2018 by iPhoneJust before 11 am, Samuel Vincent took the stand, presenting information on his educational history and background. His lawyer asked him to describe the events of that early morning, in August, 2017.
Vincent told about getting gas at EZ Mart on Hyatt St., after getting of work around midnight, seeing multiple police cars in different locations in town.
He told of seeing blue lights on behind him on Barkada Road, and wonder why they were stopping him and why they were stopping him there. He said his intentions for not stopping were to “make it home alive.”
He told about losing control of his vehicle in the curve, and seeing the wrecked Deputy’s car.
When asked about the marijuana, he said used it for pain control, due to an old injury from football. He commented that he had a strong science background, and preferred to call it cannabis.
