Death Threats & Gunfire Lead to Arrest by DCSO
August 1st, 2014 by Joe BurgessSaturday, Drew County Deputy’s were dispatched to the Gee’s Landing area of the Saline River in reference to a young man threatening people’s lives, then firing rounds from a rifle.
When deputies arrived, they talked to the alleged victims, and searched the wooded area where the suspect, Clifton Jolley, was camping. They found Jolley and the firearm at his camp site.
Jolley was arrested for Terroristic Threatening, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Person, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
3 days prior to this event, Jolley had pled guilty to a felony charge in Drew County Circuit Court to possion of cocaine.
Jolley was issued a $10,000 bond by Judge Gibson during his First Judicial Appearance. The case will be sent to Prosecutor Thomas Deen’s Office for official filing.
Information has also been provided to Arkansas Probation and Parole on the incident which could revoke his probation.
