DCSO Statement on Passing of AC Simpson
February 2nd, 2021 by Joe BurgessIt is with great regret and sadness that we inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Sgt. AC Simpson, Jr.
AC was full time with the Drew County Sheriff’s Department since August 2001; however, his career began as an auxiliary deputy in 1985.
The family of AC will be honoring his request; therefore, there will be no funeral service.
We will continue to lift AC’s entire family up in prayer.
He will truly be missed by his family, friends, this department and this community.

He was the best supervisor I ever had (Burlington). He will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.
This hits “HOME!” I have known AC for over 20 years. I do not have one (1) bad memory of him. Everything is good! My thoughts and prayers are with the family, his bowling family, Drew County Sheriff’s Department and friends. AC, I love you and will never forget you. Until, we meet again in that beautiful place we call, “HEAVEN.”

AC was a good friend and coworker. He taught me a lot when I was a deputy there with him. He was always there whenever I had a question or trying to find a place in the county cuz he knew where everybody lived in drew County. I just want to say that I loved him and im gonna miss a good friend and coworker. R.I.L. AC
He will be missed by everyone in Drew county. I had the pleasure of
working with him on a few occasions and it was always a pleasure. He
was a wonderful person with a great attitude and I will always remember him for that. Rest In Peace my friend

I’ve known AC since 1979 from the Spinning Plant he knew you by your first name and last name he was kind and friendly to all He knew your parents you and your kids but best of all he was a good and honest and fair officer may he RIP AC will be missed by many
