DCSO Meth Bust
August 1st, 2018 by iPhoneOn 7-25-18 at 4:30 pm, Sheriff Mark Gober received information that Jerry Don Daniels was in a yard on Ras Pace road with a firearm.
Sheriff Gober also knew Mr. Daniels had a warrant for his arrest. Sheriff Gober, and Deputy Shiloh Jordan arrived at Ras Pace road, and saw Daniels take off running, wearing a camouflaged back-pack.
After a short foot pursuit Daniels was taken into custody. During a pat-down search, a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in his pocket.
Sheriff Gober then found the back-pack that Daniels had dropped. Inside was a 22-caliber handgun.
Daniels was taken to the Drew County jail and charged with fleeing, possession of a controlled substance(meth), felon in possession of firearm, and a warrant out of district court. He has since been released.
