DCSO Drug Arrest
October 14th, 2015 by iPhoneAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, a, 42 year old Monticello woman was arrested on October 10, 2015 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance, speeding and no proof of insurance.
Valerie Pearson was observed on Midway Route traveling at an excessive rate of speed. When pulled over Deputy Bo Sanderlin conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a clear plastic bag containing a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, weighing approximately 11.5 grams. The search also revealed two instruments believed to ingest the substance.
Pearson was placed in the Drew County Detention Facility and later taken before a judge and given a bond in the amount of $5000 on October 11.
Pearson bonded on the same day.
