DC Graduate Killed in Georgia, by Police
February 20th, 2016 by iPhoneA Drew Central graduate was killed around 1 AM, Thursday morning, in an officer-involved shooting, in Commerce Georgia, near Atlanta.
According to reports from the Georgia Bureau of investigation, 25 year old Joseph Noel was involved in a domestic disturbance, at his fathers home, when police officers were called.
“Officers entered the residence to search for Noel and located him hidden In the attic of the residence.” The officers Issued verbal commands, at which time Noel held up an object that officers believed to be a firearm and refused to comply with the officers’ instructions.”
“During the verbal exchange, Noel charged the officers and the officers deployed a taser and fired shots, striking him. Noel was shot in the leg and was transported to the Athens Regional Medical Center where he later died.” Reports indicate that Noel was shot twice in the leg, with one striking an artery.
GBI is investigating all information relative to the case.
first of all this aint actually true. There is more to this story then publish.. that is private.. No one has mention that Joey was a sweet and hard young man. He loved his family with all his heart. Tonight there is a wife whose is morning the lose of her husband a 3 year old who misses thier daddy and cant understand why he didnt come home with them.. A one year old who well never know thier daddy. Joey just got his CDLs. He was a wounderful, hard working, and very caring young man. We well miss him very much. I am proud to have been his Aunt and well always be proud of him. Remember its our table that have one less chair next year…
