DC Elementary Safety-Security Meeting & Memories from Former Jonesboro Resident
February 5th, 2013 by Drew Central SchoolsThe Drew Central Elementary Safety Team met Monday evening, to discuss a wide range of security and safety issues.
An espicially interesting part of the meeting was when Laura Kaminicki, a Drew Central 3rd grade parent, also a former Jonesboro resident from the time of that city’s March 24, 1998 massacre at Westside Middle School, described some of that school’s physical charistics.
Some of the topic included an overview of current safety policies, a powerpoint review/tour of elementary buildings, and a round table (brain-storming) session with the approximately 20 poeple present taking part.
The groups tentative plan will be presented to the superintendant and the school board.
