DC 4th Grade Teacher Earns National Board Certified Teacher Certificate
January 18th, 2013 by Sarah SpencerAt Thursday’s Drew Central school board meeting, Mary Hobbs received special recognition for earning the National Board Certified Teacher certificate. She is one of only two Drew Central teachers to achieve this prestigious level of certification.
Superintendent Mike Johnston and Trudy Jackson, Elementary School Principal, explained what a great honor this is, and the hard work and dedication required to meet all the requirements involved in earning this level of certification. They expressed their great pride and admiration for Ms. Hobbs’ accomplishment in achieving this certification. Ms. Hobbs who has taught at Drew Central for 18 years, currently teaches 4th grade.
