Dance Winners at District Fair
October 3rd, 2012 by SubmittedThese students from Monticello Dance Academy represented the Drew County and Cleveland County fairs at the Southeast Arkansas District Fair in Pine Bluff this past weekend. They qualified for district by winning overall or 2nd overall at their local county fair’s talent show.
They are…..Alli Beth King (1st row in red) won 2nd overall at Cleveland County with her tap solo and got to compete at district.
Charlee Carter won 2nd overall and 1st place in the dance solo division at Drew County’s fair and also won Saturday night’s dance solo division! She will be representing Southeast District as dance solo at the state fair giving Mary Beth Wigley the opportunity to compete as Drew County’s dance solo winner.
The dance group “It Don’t Matter” won overall an 1st place in the dance group division at Drew County’s fair and won the dance group division Saturday night at district! They will represent Southeast District fair as dance group winner at state giving another group from MDA the opportunity to compete at state as Drew County’s dance group winner!
