Curly Jackson To Run for State representative for Drew County Area
February 14th, 2022 by Joe BurgessCurly Jackson Sr., former Wilmar mayor from 1982-2018, is seeking the new District 94 seat in the Arkansas House of Representatives. Jackson is running as a Democrat.
Jackson was elected to the Wilmar School District Board, in 1979. When Wilmar and Drew Central consolidated, Jackson began serving on the Drew
Central School Board and still serves in that position.
Jackson has lived in Wilmar, where he and his late wife Glenda lIves for 39 years and had five children.
Jackson has been involved regional politics for decades, and believes it is his good relationship with people and his ability to work across party lines that will help him impact change for the area.He will continue to work on school funding, transportation and infrastructure in the representative position as he has through his other elected posts.
