Crack Cocaine & Cash Seized After Search Warrant by SO & PD, 2 Men get $50,000 Bond

February 22nd, 2011 by

According to Sheriff Mark Gober, on Friday, February 18th, the Drew County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search warrant at 430 East Oakland Street located at the corner of East Oakland and Conley Street. Members of Monticello Police Department assisted in the search of the residence. When officers arrived, there were two suspects standing in the driveway and another two sitting in a car under the carport.

Both suspects in the driveway were apprehended immediately. One of the suspects in the driveway, Undrea Lambert, age 20 of Monticello, was seen just moments before being arrested throwing a large clear bag containing a green leafy substance of what is believed to be marijuana weighing nearly an ounce on the ground.

One of the occupants sitting on the driver side of the vehicle parked under the carport fled into the side door of the house and did lock the door. Deputies, however, were able to break into the house quickly and apprehend the resident, Eric Brown, age 32 of Monticello. Deputies recovered approximately 10.29 grams of what is believed to be crack cocaine, approximately 4 grams of one individually wrapped bag of a green leafy substance which is believed to be that of marijuana, and a set of digital scales. The other occupant of the vehicle fled and was apprehended after a foot chase approximately one hundred yards from the scene. This suspect was Jarell Spencer, age 24 of Monticello. Spencer was transported by ambulance to Drew Memorial Hospital for an injury sustained during the chase. Spencer will likely be charged with fleeing.

Undrea Lambert will likely be charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. Eric Brown will likely be charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to deliver. Both Lambert and Brown were taken in front of District Judge Ken Harper on their first appearance and received a $50,000 bond each. Brown has bonded out of jail.  Lambert remains in the Drew County Detention Facility.

Approximately $1,100 in cash was seized from the scene. The street value of the suspected crack cocaine is believed to be approximately $1,600. Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober says that this residence has been suspected of distributing large amounts of illegal drugs into the community and thanks area residents for the support in ridding suspected drug dealer from our neighborhoods.

  4. Jo says:

Just think this is just a minor amount then what is out there but it is an amount that is off the streets so no ones mom, dad, aunt, uncle, friend or child can get a hold of it an ruin their lives. I know that our prision system is full and they are trying to do early releases for inmates with these charges because they are not violent crimes. In my opinion most of our violent crimes revolve around drugs some way or another. GREAT JOB and Thanks to the Drew County Sheriff’s Department an Monticello Police.

  5. Dr. Morgan says:

It’s a pain to see individuals who you know had the potential for great things… None-the-less I’m very relieved to see that vile taken off the streets. There’s better ways of making money if you put your mind to it, work at it, and fail as many times as it takes to succeed.

  6. LEROY says:

bad thing about it is the money used to bond him out was more than likely drug money.but that is good less money to get more drugs.

  7. Rusty Shackleford says:

Glad to know a little crack is off the street! Keep ’em coming!

  8. Jamaruis Lewis says:

  10. STOP SNITCHIN' says:
