Courthouse Water Leak Repaired
June 18th, 2014 by iPhoneSince the deteriorating outside wall of the courthouse clubroom has been repaired, Drew County officials have been trying to determine the source of a stream of water that kept flowing into the room.
According to Judge Robert Akin at Monday night’s quorum court meeting, after eliminating a drainage problem is the cause, they removed the landscaping from the area, and then began digging.
They found a water faucet (below ground level) no one knows how long it’s been there.
They also found a water leak in a pipe, that seems to be the source of the problem, which has now been repaired.
