Courthouse Evacuated for Possible Gas Leak
September 2nd, 2022 by Joe BurgessAt 10:10, Thursday morning, the Drew County Courthouse was evacuated, due to the smell of a possible gas leak.
A county official called Arkla/Summit gas, who responded and confirmed that there was a minor valve leak, but that everyone could safely return to work.
The Monticello Fire Department responded, when notified, turning off the gas supply and checking for fumes.
Everyone returned to work less than an hour later.
