County Considering Moving County Barn (1964) to University Center (Rodeo Arena))

At the quorum court meeting, Judge Robert Akin opened the discussin about purchasning the “university center,” the covered rodeo arean lodated on HWY 425 South, near UAM, to take the place of our current “county barn.”
The county barn has been housed in its current location on HWY 278, near Winchester Road, since 1964. The current facility has grown too small, and floods regualary.
No decision was made, and more research will be done.
