Council Considering Renaming Gaines St “Martin Luther King Street” – Video

This topic will be brought up at the next 2 City Council meetings, to allow for public opinion to be expressed on the issue.
As it was described, Tuesday night, the section of road being renamed would begin at the Highway 278 West city limits, near Western Pines, and include all off HWY 278 to the east city limits.
This would cause address changes for all businesses on West Gaines from 425 to “Big Jax”, where the 2 1-way streets merge.
