Shortly after 1 PM, Monday afternoon the Collins – Cominto and Dermott PD fire departments responded to a controlled burn on Collins Line road that had gotten out of control.

The fire spread from the yard, into the woods, to near a camper trailer, and even had pine straw on top of a butane tank burning.

Several counties are currently under a burn ban, please use extreme caution when burning anything.
