Closing Arguments – Final Thoghts from Both Sides
June 29th, 2016 by iPhoneThe prosecution addressed the jury, with his closing argument, by bringing back the aggressive text Briggs sent Thompson’s wife.
Another inconsistency, was Briggs getting his gun, before opening the door, for Davis.
Also focused on, was when Davis said Briggs went to the back of the house to get another gun.
Mr. Robinson reminded the jury that no one really knows exactly how this began, because it had been building for 2 weeks.
He then added that Davis could’ve been carry a gun, as well, and may have driven down the street to hide evidence, before the police arrived.
In closing, he reminded them that everyone has the right to defend themselves.
Spain concluded by reflecting on the evidence, the gunshots, and that Briggs is a multi-convicted felon.
The jury began deliberations at 11:15
