Cleveland County 20 Year-olds Arrested for Kidnapping & Murder
December 15th, 2015 by iPhoneOn 12-07-15, family members reported that Cherrish Faith Allbright, age 22 of Rison, was missing.
The family reported that Allbright left her grandmother’s house on 12-03-15, and had not been seen or heard from since.
On 12-10-15, the investigation changed from a missing person case to a homicide investigation.
On the night of 12-10-15, information obtained in the investigation led to the location and recovery of the body of Cherrish Allbright. The body was turned over to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy.
The investigation has resulted in the arrest of two individuals for Capital Murder, Kidnapping, and Abuse of a Corpse.
The individuals arrested are Jonathan Guenther, age 20 of Rison, and Brad Hunter Smith, also age 20 of Rison.
Guenther and Smith are being held without bond, at the Cleveland County Detention Center on charges of Capital Murder, Kidnapping, and Abuse of Corpse.
An additional arrest was made of an individual for Hindering arrest and apprehension.
That individual was released from custody after posting a $200.000.00 bond.
The investigation is still open and additional arrests are possibly forthcoming.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation with the assistance of the Arkansas State Police and officers of the Arkansas Game and Fish Enforcement Division
