City Wins Motion Against Siemens in $10,000,0000 Water Project Lawsuit
August 12th, 2015 by iPhoneThe City of Monticello recently won a motion to include “big brother” Siemens AG as an extended defendant in the $10 million federal lawsuit over the waterline/meter debacle.
Attached is the relative wording from the judge’s order.
“Siemens Industry’s motion, No. 15, is denied. Monticello has stated a claim for fraud. Monticello pleaded with particularity—the who, what, when, where, and how of its claim.—about whether Siemens Industry secured a contract with MonticeIIo to fix water lines and replace meters through misrepresentations about Siemens Industry’s financial backing by Siemens AG, itse indirect parent corporation.
The Court directs the Clerk to add Siemens AG as a counter-defendant in this case.
So Ordered.
